BUCKEYES BEAT MICHIGAN........AGAIN.......The dominance of Michigan continues under the Tressel ERA as OSU won 21 - 10 in our annual "rivalry" game........hmm....so this is a rivalry game when we play Michigan.  Let's have a look.  Let's see - OSU was playing a team that we had beaten 5 straight years.  OSU was playing a team that had a 3-9 record last year and was in the midst of a 7 game losing streak.  Some rivalry.  Anyhow, given all this information, Coach Jim Tressel's game plan for this "rivalry game" at LAST PLACE MICHIGAN  was very clear - just wait for Michigan to implode.  What a game plan.  The Michigan implosion began on their first possession when QB Tate Forcier fumbled in the end zone and OSU recovered for a 7-0 lead that set the tone for the game as OSU "did what they had to do" to come away with a 21 - 10 victory that earned them their 6th straight victory over Michigan and clinched their 5th straight Big Ten Title.

ROSE BOWL BOUND......The OSU win clinched an outright Big Ten Title.  It will be their 14th trip to the Rose Bowl (they are 6-7 in Rose Bowl games) and it is their first trip to the Rose Bowl since Freshman Andy "The Cat" Katzenmoyer led them to a Rose Bowl win over Jake "The Snake" Plummer in 1996.  The win also denied Michigan a chance at playing in a bowl game this year.  Michigan needed the win to become bowl eligible....with the loss they are "bowl ineligible"...........

DID YOU KNOW.......that Terrelle Pryor is 18 - 4 since he has taken over as the starting QB for OSU.....folks that record includes his freshman year...remember.....he's only a sophomore......

OHIO STATE MVP.............speaking of freshman/sophomore quaterbacks.....several friends and associates have told me that the OSU MVP for today was CLEARLY Michigan freshman QB Tate Forcier.  His fumble that was recovered by OSU for a TD and his 4 interceptions were certainly key to our victory.........hmm...think i'll keep Pryor over this guy...

THROWBACK UNIFORMS........Ohio State wore "throwback uniforms" that honored the 1954 OSU National Champion team that was led by Howard "Hopalong" Cassady........

1969 MICHIGAN PREGAME CEREMONY.......the pregame ceremony honored the 1969 Michigan team...did anybody see Dan Dierdorf?  Man do i feel sorry for that guy....great announcer but football has ravaged his body....he could barely stand up with a cane in his right hand.......wow......
